Do I receive a discount when upgrading to HM3?
This decision was necessary because it’s time to invest our resources toward supporting more recent technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences. There have been hundreds of updates to HM2 in the almost 9 years since it’s release in 2011. While we cannot predict the timing of future poker site updates, their cumulative impact on core HM2 features mentioned will be significant. HM2 users will be able to log-in and use the software but functionality such as the HUD and hand importing will be significantly impacted when poker sites release updates and/or add new game types. It means there will be no updates or technical support for HM2 after December 31, 2020.
If it fixes the crash then introduce one program at a time and try to reproduce the crash and continue doing this until you find the program thats causing the problem. Close all non essential programs, that includes MSN, Skype, Teamviewer, Mikogo, Firewall, Antivirus, Internet, Email, AHK scripts, FPHG, PT3, basically every other program running including programs in the taskbar.
Often it will be a combination of 2 or more programs causing the crash, to rule out other programs causing the issue first reboot, then open just Holdem Manager and the poker client.

Sometimes firewalls can prevent access to a file that HM needs to run and thus causing it to crash, unfortunately disabling the firewall doesn't always fix the issue. This can occassionaly cause performance issues so to rule that out go to Hud Options > Site Options and untick Live Tracking for Full Tilt, Party, Stars, Ipoker and UB. If however it doesn't fix the issue we can just replace the defaults with our copies by closing HM, deleting the prefs.xml file and the nfig file and renaming the 2 copies to prefs.xml and nfig and rebooting HM and all our settings will be returned. In that scenario we would need to re-configure our import folders and hud settings and use the new default ones. Once you do this restart Holdem Manager and it will create default nfig and prefs.xml files and if this fixes the crashing problem then we can assume it was one of those 2 files were corrupt.

To rule this out we install the default prefs.xml file and nfig file.įirst close Holdem Manager and go to C:/Program Files/RVGSoftware/HoldemManager and make copies of the prefs.xml file and nfig file, then delete the originals.
Some times a corrupt prefs.xml file or nfig file can cause Holdem Manager or the hud to crash. Rule out corrupt config files as the problem

Hardware Acceleration can solve issues with graphics and crashing issues, depending on your graphics card driver Windows 7 and Vista users may not be able to disable this. Run Vista or Windows 7 in XP Compatible Mode
